Shared registered agent (INCORP SERVICES INC) between Runa Capital Inc Delaware and NGINX Software Inc Delaware
Both Runa Capital Inc (us_de/5191933, inc. 2012-07-30) and NGINX Software Inc (us_de/4978109, inc. 2011-05-04) used INCORP SERVICES, INC at 919 North Market Street, Suite 950, Wilmington, New Castle, DE 19801 as their registered agent in Delaware. While INCORP SERVICES is a common corporate service provider, the temporal proximity (NGINX incorporated May 2011, Runa July 2012) and the fact that both are in the Russian-origin tech space is notable. The newer Runa Capital Inc Florida entity (2024) also uses INCORP SERVICES at a Florida address.
LittleSis: DFJ Fund VIII Partners LP ownership stake in Runa Capital confirmed
LittleSis confirms DFJ Fund VIII Partners LP (entity 101815) as an owner of Runa Capital (entity 438845). Tim Draper is Managing Director of DFJ Fund VIII. This establishes the DFJ-Runa investment chain: Tim Draper -> DFJ Fund VIII -> Runa Capital -> Beloussov (founding partner).
LittleSis: Masha Bucher (Drokova) links Runa Capital to Alexander Mamut (CAATSA-listed Russian billionaire) via Day One Ventures
Masha Bucher (née Maria Alexandrovna Drokova, LittleSis entity 438844) held a position at Runa Capital and is the founder/principal of Day One Ventures. Alexander Mamut (LittleSis entity 80839, described as 'Russian investment billionaire') is listed as an owner of Day One Ventures. Mamut is also associated with CAATSA 2017 sanctions. Bucher also had a social relationship with Vladimir Putin and was a member of Nashi (pro-Putin youth movement). This represents a depth-3 chain from Beloussov: Runa Capital -> Masha Bucher -> Day One Ventures -> Alexander Mamut.
Runa Capital is the dominant hub-broker in the nginx investigation graph: degree=7 (rank 1 of 29 nodes), betweenness centrality=0.687 (rank 1), brokerage score=1.0 (all 7 neighbors are disconnected from each other). It sits between NGINX Software Inc, Serguei Beloussov, Dmitry Chikhachev, DFJ Fund VIII Partners LP, Masha Bucher, DFJ Fund VIII LP, and Runa Capital Inc — controlling all information flow between these actors.
Structural observation: Runa Capital has perfect structural hole brokerage (neighbor_density=0.0, neighbor_edges=0, possible_edges=21). This means none of Runa Capital's 7 known network neighbors have documented direct connections to each other — Runa sits at the center of a star topology. In influence network analysis, this pattern is consistent with a broker or handler role, where the central node controls information flow between disconnected parties. Innocent explanation: Runa is simply a VC fund, and VC funds naturally connect to investors (DFJ, Beloussov), portfolio companies (NGINX Software Inc), and employees (Bucher, Chikhachev) who don't necessarily know each other directly. Falsification: documenting direct relationships between any two of Runa Capital's neighbors would reduce its brokerage score.
Open triad Dmitry Chikhachev — Serguei Beloussov via Runa Capital (closure_score=0.75): Both are Runa Capital co-founders and partners with corporate relationship to the same entity, yet no direct Chikhachev-Beloussov connection is documented. This is the highest-closure open triad and is statistically surprising given their shared institutional affiliation.
Triadic closure analysis identifies the Chikhachev-Beloussov triad via Runa Capital as the most likely undocumented direct relationship (score=0.75 out of 1.0). Both have 'corporate' relationship type to Runa Capital. Chikhachev is Managing Partner of Runa Capital; Beloussov is co-founding partner. Their known institutional overlap score is 0.167 (2 shared institutions). The absence of a documented direct link may reflect: (1) research gap (they obviously know each other as co-founders — the connection exists, we haven't documented it); (2) a deliberate arm's-length arrangement if their roles are compartmentalized. Action needed: document the Chikhachev-Beloussov direct relationship and check for any separate vehicles or structures they operate together outside Runa Capital.

No direct board interlock found between Runa Capital entities and NGINX Inc via OpenCorporates; Beloussov absent from Runa corporate filings
Cross-referencing all Runa Capital entity officers against NGINX Software Inc (us_ca/3379940, us_de/4978109) and NGINX Inc (us_de/5021656) officers reveals NO shared directors or officers in OpenCorporates. NGINX California officers: Joseph Patrick McDermott (CEO/CFO), Steven Irving Grieger (secretary). Runa Capital officers: Michael Fanfant, Peter Bauert, Gary John Carr, Vera Shokina, Miruna Sascau, Konstantin Vinogradov, Andrey Bliznyuk. No overlap. Critically, Serguei Beloussov does NOT appear as an officer on any Runa Capital entity in OpenCorporates -- his involvement as co-founder may be through equity/LP interests rather than formal officer positions. Igor Sysoev has zero corporate officer records in OpenCorporates. Gus Robertson appears only at F5 Inc (post-acquisition). Andre Elizarov not found. Dmitri Loguinov not found.
No direct code-level connection found between Beloussov/Runa Capital network and nginx contributors. No @runa domain emails in git history. The Runa-NGINX connection remains at corporate/investment level (shared registered agent INCORP SERVICES INC) not developer level. Martin Duke (F5/Moscow) and Nikolay Morozov (securitycode.ru/TLS contributor) are not linked to Beloussov entities.
